Initially, the name Hyvä Checkout was given to the official open-source module from Hyvä written in React.js (now called Hyva React Checkout) and we successfully tested it on several projects. After implementation, the speed of developing new features increased significantly compared to Luma/Blank Checkout, which allowed us to reduce the costs of developing and maintaining the code base on knockout.js, which has long been outdated compared to modern frameworks.
In 2022, Hyva Checkout was announced from scratch, written in Magewire - an open source port of Laravel Livewire, this module is distributed under a 1-year or 5-year license. And it provides incredible UX, fast loading speeds (Lighthouse 90+) and response to user actions, the same great DX that allows us to create new features and updates in the shortest time.
How Hyva Checkout looks like
This solution is a drop-in replacement and supports a large number of payment and shipping methods out of the box. We also write our own modules for checkout and can implement your idea, we have successful cases of implementing payment for goods in parts or a system for implementing a replacement of goods for a new one.
